Kubota makes the best compact utility tractors on the market. Better than John Deere for sure. Kubota tractors are also more reliable than John Deere tractors. And Kubota tractors have better engines too.

Never thought that I’d be soooo bored as to answer a question about tractors on a Friday night but here I am and I disagree, John Deere’s are better. Who are you – Hank Hill?

  12. SiliconBlake says:

Those Kubotas sure are great little tractors. I wish I could afford to buy one. You made a good video.

  13. jav4msu says:

hi ChuckE, thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying one… controls look good, very similar to my nearly dead Ford 8N. I’m not a big fan of hydrostatic, so I’m leaning toward the 8×8 version.
I see that this one has 4WD, do you think that is really necessary, or just nice to have? (trying to keep costs down) I have about 25 acres and hope to make hay, etc.

  34. BigMetalMikeK says:

Hey man Hora to Kubota. I have a 32 HP L3000DT 4WD. It’s a small Agriculture tractor. Shes my baby, and quite the work horse. I have me a JD man and a NH man. I am sticking to Kubota. ORANGE!

  35. jyeag says:

@doctorfeelucky : I know exactly what you mean about the bearings, I had the same problem. There were some grooves worn in the collar, I took it apart and turned the collar until the grooves didn’t line up with the balls anymore.

  36. doctorfeelucky says:

We also use it to tow our 20ft trailer into the woods where we can’t take the truck without bogging down, to haul some fire wood. It’s powerful, but yet small enough to fit on the 20ft trailer along with a chord of wood on board. And my dad also likes to hook a box blade to it to do some bull dozing.

  37. doctorfeelucky says:

We got a L3400 4wd diesel and we use a deck that we pull behind (What ever it’s called). Occasionally, we would attach different things to it such as tiller, plow, hoist, and trailer. We’ve been having trouble with teh drive shaft on teh mower because the ball bearings would not roll back even though we have the yolk pulled all the way back, so we use the same driveshaft as the tiller, which is a whole lot easier.

  38. jyeag says:

@2adkhikers Hey, thanks for watching. It’s a belly mower, mid mount mower is what Kubota calls it. I just had it disconnected and sitting behind the tractor in the video. You just drive over it, connect the driveshaft to the mid pto, and it’s time to mow! Check out my other videos to see it in action!

  39. 2adkhikers says:

ERRRRRRR thats NOT a “belly mower” it’s a 3 PT hitch

  40. nubs3 says:

you dont have to use the decompression knob to shut it off you could also cut the throttle all the way down. i own 4 of these 7100′s and thats how i turn them off its quicker and uses less fuel.

  41. jyeag says:

@cullisoh All my brackets are off right now, still have a plow attached from the winter. When I get them dug back out I’ll try to remember to send a message with a pic. If you don’t hear from me in a couple weeks, send me a reminder message! For the overheating, I also had problems while mowing, my radiator gets clogged with debris from mowing, have to blow it out from the inside with compressed air or a garden hose.

  42. cullisoh says:

I am having trouble with my quick hookup on the front to attach the mower. Lost the pin last season and think i must be missing a piece of the bracket on the pin side. would it be possible to take a picture of that and email me so I know what the part looks like? Also have a over heating problem on hot summer days.

  43. MrJesspatrick says:

@jyeag That is how you are supposed to shut off all diesels without electronic injection…

  44. turbinefanatic says:

DONT READ THIS Cause It Really Works. YOU WILL GET KISSED ON THE NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BY THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. TOMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. HOWEVER IF YOU DONT POST THIS COMMENT TO AT LEAST 3 VIDEOS YOU WILL DIE WITHIN 2 DAYS. NOW UV STARTED READIN DIS DUNT STOP THIS IS SO SCARY. SEND THIS OVER TO 5 VIDEOS IN 143 MINUTES WHEN UR DONE PRESS F6 AND UR CRUSHES NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE SCREEN IN BIG LETTERS. THIS IS SO SCARY But IT rEally Work

  45. jyeag says:

@gaggotgaggot : I normally run it a touch back from full throttle. If I get into something thick, I still have a little more to give it.

  46. gaggotgaggot says:

what speed do you run the engine at when using the mid pto for the mower deck?

  47. gfc56 says:

    Hope you payed cash

  48. jyeag says:

@smyers820gm Hey thanks! The more time I spend operating it, the more I like it!

  49. smyers820gm says:

@jyeag ,,you know I must apologize I completely forgot to tell you thats a beautiful machine ! LOL

  50. jyeag says:

Hi, it’s true all about the decompression knob. I’ve been shutting her down by pulling the throttle lever back all the way. Works like a charm!

  51. smyers820gm says:

hey did you find out if what axelhead said was true? is there a diff. lever to pull under the start switch to shut it down cause I didnt see it in the vid..haha..? but the big thing is…will it hurt your engine to turn it off that way?

  52. jyeag says:

    Yup!

  53. 12peter96 says:

your mower is a mid mount ya know

  54. jyeag says:

From what I’ve seen, the older 7100′s had a vertical muffler, and the ones with a loader had to move the muffler to pointing up to clear the frame.

  55. SANTACRUZDRIVER8 says:

was your muffler suposed to b vertical

  56. MrAxlehead says:

When you shut your Kabota down.. DO NOT PULL THE DECOMP KNOB.. THAT IS FOR STARTING UNDER LOW BATTERY CONDITIONS…. THERE IS A LEVER UNDER THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT YOU PULL AND THE MOTOR WILL SHUT OFF .. THEN TURN THE KEY OFF…. UNDER NO CONDITIONS SHOULD YOU DECOMP THE ENGINE WHEN RUNNING YOU WILL RUIN THE ENGINE…. BYE 4 NOW ….

  57. jyeag says:

I think it’s a ’90 or so. The earlier B7100′s had 4 lug wheels, mine has 6. I agree that mower deck is great, it has I think 13 grease fittings! I need a new set of blades and I think I’ll be ready to mow. I’m working on a dirt scoop and a 12″ bottom plow for it now. Thanks for the comment!!

  58. Gball223 says:

Man, definitely post another video once you’ve got the belly mower attached and working. Would like to see/hear that. We just got a new Kubota 2350 last year and the 60″ mid mount mower is awesome. Would be fun to hear this old baby cuttin some grass. Is yours about a 1983 model or so?

  59. bsruther says:

Why pay to dig it, when this was FREE? I put a $50,000 wall in for $5,000.

  60. gaggotgaggot says:

GO GET A DIGGER FOR YOURSELF YOU COMPLETER IDIOT. YOU ARE DRIVING A TRACTOR – TRACTORS DONT DIG

  61. xBIGSHEPx says:

put a tooth bar on that big bitch

  62. fireballfury1 says:

you’ve got to peel the dirt off you cant just shove your bucket in the ground hoping to dig that way

  63. scotty1045 says:

The front right tire does look a little low but so did mine and when I checked it the tire says 18psi max cold on it. That does not seem like a lot for a tractor tire but o well.

  64. ghostdevill says:

    Use a other bucket fool!!!
This bucket is for loss material not for digging!!!

  65. filmcostar says:

    weak

  66. CowsXonXcrack says:

Turbo? If so, straight pipe it and make a video of it running.

  67. cruseallen1 says:

Need Some teeth on that thing.

  68. mudd15 says:

tell mickey to keep the throttle at 2500 rpm instead of the foot throttle the tracto will be more responsive

  69. CowsXonXcrack says:

yeah i got a B2620, 100 horsepower is a little too much for a digging tractor. i prefer an excavator. and if you think that Kentucky clay is hard, come and try to take a chunk out the the Canadian rockies bud, i can guarantee you wouldnt get far without at least a CAT 320X LN excavator…. and maybe a few sticks of dynamite?

  70. britishnobby says:

we have clay in the south of england that goes like that it the summer. best thing is to use the bucket pointing down and used it to cut into the clay and break it up(like in the film). we have turf tyres on our kubota’s which makes it even harder!

  71. gandi121212 says:

    I prefer my kubota m59

  72. bsruther says:

That’s Kentucky clay he’s digging. It’s rock hard.

  73. bsruther says:

    Yes

  74. TheDieselDr says:

    M9540 ??

  75. Creative572 says:

Seems like Mickey needs a little more practice! lol, but very nice tractor btw! Do the front tires need more air?

  76. italainmobster says:

how much does somthing like that go for

  77. bsruther says:

    It’s a 95 horsepower.

  78. air2bmc says:

what size kubota is that looks nice

  79. Mackeson3 says:

Great access to the battery and air cleaner!

  80. gaggotgaggot says:

    cant beat the kubota b2150

  81. johndeer7030 says:

  86. number1Schumacherfan says:

    FENDT.

  87. kubotaboym125x says:

you can move the seat back with a lever on the lower right side of the seat

  88. international70 says:

kubota dont make bad compact tractors but i would,nt want a bigger one like that

  89. shookwood says:

Irish? The guy sounds Scottish to me….

  90. granskare says:

I thoughtm that was an Irish accent. Easy to understand to this midwestern USA person. I used to plow with a John Deere “A” made in 1952, 2 bottom plow. We had to use a sledge hammer to move rear wheels location vis-a-vis the body. But you can’t replace that pop pop of the JD two cylinder engine!
    Nice vid.

  91. Makemyday0126 says:

They are starting to get Popular in Ireland, a nice looking tractor but I find the build quality a bit light weight on these bigger tractor’s..I like the Gearbox in the top model though, nice to have a full power shift in a tractor in this class.

  92. SchizoSystems says:

Everything looks a bit misplaced. Has something of a JD combined with NH…

  93. mtargettuk says:

    More coverage on http://www.fwi.co.uk!!

  94. unit says:

you said it all my friend.

what a great answer you gave for your question

    in simple terms i agree

  95. thinkbig says:

Kubota have more attachements and better customer care than JD
